About Denise
I started my business about 10 years ago. I began selling my whimsical handbags to boutiques & museum gifts shops.
I viewed it as a total fluke. I never really saw myself as a handbag designer, but here I was making my living at it.
If I have to say I have a passion, it's for coats. You can do so much with a coat. It's like sculpting.
There's nothing like putting on a show stopping coat on a cold dreary day to lift your spirits.
The coats are not currently my main focus, but you'll find that I can't help myself &
I add a new silhouette every now & then.
For more then 4 years, I've been obsessed with Sustainable & Eco-Friendly fibers, especially Bamboo Viscose & Soy.
The properties of the Bamboo are really exciting.

Not only is it a rapidly renewable resource & doesn't take pesticides to grow, but Bamboo is one of the softest fabrics
in the world. Its softer then cotton with a drape like silk, but it resists odor & soil, is thermal regulating,
anti-static, durable and travels well.
All that being said, as a designer, it's a pleasure to work with.
It drapes beautifully and lends itself to a wonderful lettuce edge.
When I first found out about Bamboo Viscose, I was eager to create a line that was not your typical
"earthy-crunchy, granola-type," but a clothing line that will fit & flatter every woman that could
take her from casual, to business to dress.
For the last year, I've been experimenting with different color processes. I'm having a
blast discovering all the subtle & not so subtle effects I can achieve. The line continues to evolve & change,
so keep us on your radar.
